So true!
constantly looking for ... HARMONY. BALANCE. KINSHIP. LOVE....
So true!
Always wanting to grow … one of the major things I decided to do was try to keep and start traditions. What better way to do this … with food. I felt ashamed that I relied on others (aka my mom) for simple things like Filipino food.
This year I will make it a point to learn / try and hopefully one day master Filipino cuisine.
Yema : 122310
I remembered my aunt making Yema. My cousins and I sat around the newly made batch with spoons, in hand, scooping away at the decadent dessert. Most (majority) of recipes call for the use of egg yolks. I asked my aunt and she said no egg yolks are used (hmmm…). We (my sisters and I) decided to use egg yolks anyhow. We even sugar-coated each yema ball.
The sugar coat is optional. We couldn’t resist and tried anyhow.
My goal is to AT LEAST do one dish a month. I HOPE to be able to keep up with this goal. I hope my family and friends are willing to be my guinea pigs to my new journey. =D
